I Will Love You Always

It's twilight time and the stars
are ready to come out and shine.
The moon is preparing to add ambiance
to this special night of love.

Crickets chirping, frogs joining in.
Making beautiful music as the fireflies
dance here and there.
What a beautiful night for love.

Lovers holding hands and whispering
words of passion and love.
He reminds her how much he loves her
and always will.
She softly kisses his cheek and tells him
that her love will never die.

Years pass by and the lovers have been
married and have raised a family.
They sit in the moonlight rocking to the sounds
of the crickets and frogs singing their songs.

One passes on and walks with the Angel
that leads the way to Heaven.
She turns and sends a kiss softly on the warm
breeze and whispers she will be waiting
for him.
She smiles and fades into the bright light.

He sits alone rocking on a warm summer night.
His family has gone for the evening.
He smiles for he feels his wife close by holding
his hand.
She whispers," my darling it's time."
He closes his eyes and soon together they are one.

His family comes by early and finds him still
in his favorite rocker but they know their
loved one has passed from this life to the next.
Tears fall but they know one day they will all be
together once again.

What God has joined together in life
will be joined together forever in this
life and the next.
