It's Over Now

Unchained melody plays in the
background.
Two people have come to a cross
roads in their lives.
Two separate paths await them.

Tears fall and a heart breaks.
But what must be will be.
No turning back and changing
what went wrong.
Just facing tomorrow alone.

The world you felt comfort in
has been rocked to the very core.
Reality has appeared and left
emotions raw.
No more fooling oneself for it's
over.

Unchained melody still plays
and the tears still fall for there is
a feeling of emptiness now.
A void where there once was happiness.
Feelings of love washed away with words.

Now they walk away into the night
taking separate paths.
Things will never be the same.
The mind is clear now.
And reality has been faced head on.

This time in life will fade into a memory.
And once more a new memory will
replace it.
It's over now.
