Of which I have many.
Not always easy to admit
what they are but sometimes
when I'm soul searching I come
face to face with one that
urgently needs my attention.

How many of you say you're sorry
whether it's your fault or not?
I sure do.
Sure I know 50% of the time it's
probably my fault.
But my problem is I say I'm sorry
knowing in my heart I didn't do
anything.
I have decided when I take the blame
for everything I'm letting someone else
off the hook and they can pretend
they were never wrong in the first place.

How many of you have become great
friends with someone and no matter
how many mistakes are made in this relationship
it's always your fault.
The other person never believes it takes two
to have a disagreement.
After all they are perfect you know.

I also believe when I apologize for everything
I'm giving someone control over me.
My happiness, my feelings, my right to live.
Right now I have decided to take back my
heart, soul and mind.
If I need to really say I'm sorry for something
I have done or any misunderstandings I cause
yes, then I will gladly apologize.
Lord knows I'm not perfect and I have more faults
than I can shake a stick at........but I'm not alone.

I'm tired of also wearing my heart on my
sleeve so others can make a laughing
stock out of me.
Sucker me in that's the name of the game.
But no more.

Whether you understand what I'm saying
or not I have said it and it has come
from my heart.
I will continue to say I'm sorry however if
your heart is filled with sadness.
If you have a great loss in your life and you
feel lost and afraid.

I will be your friend but just don't
expect me to be sorry for your mistakes.
This is something you will have to deal with.
