Tear drops fall.
Loneliness is overwhelming.
Once again she will be alone.

He watches from the window
as a tear slowly slides down
his cheek.
It's Christmas once again and
once again he will be alone.

She slowly leaves her house
to travel to the Church where
she will pray.

He dries his eyes and puts on his
tattered coat and gloves with holes..
He walks into the Church and slips
into a pew where he prays.

She sits alone two rows in front of
him.
He doesn't notice this woman with
tears streaming down her cheeks.

She prays......
Dear God thank you for the blessings
you bestow on me each day.
Thank you for giving me the strength
to face just one more day.

Dear God my heart aches so for someone
to care and to love.
I'm not sure I can go on feeling so alone
and lost.
Christmas brings miracles just like the
miracle of the birth of the baby Jesus.

I pray this in your name...... Amen.

He prays........
Dear God I know I haven't been to Church
in a long time.
I know I have many sins to be forgiven for.
I know that I have stumbled from the path
of goodness.

God I need forgiveness and to live a righteous
life.
When she died God I felt you had forsaken
me.
You took her from me to join you in Heaven.
You knew I loved her more than life itself.

Over the years God I have accepted
this loss.
I no longer question your wisdom.

Dear God I'm so lonely and I want
someone to love me.
I'm not sure I can go on with this ache
in my heart.

Thank you God for listening to my prayer.
Amen.

She slowly rises from her seat and starts
up the aisle.
Tears still streaming down her cheeks.
He rises from his seat and as he steps
into the aisle their arms touch.
Tears still falling down his cheeks.
They stop and look into each others eyes.
At that moment God brought these two
lonely souls together.

I truly believe God will help them find
their way together so they will be lonely
no more.
I believe God will fill their hearts with love
and together they will walk the path
that God has laid before them.

Yes ,miracles do happen at Christmas time.
Just as the birth of Jesus was a miracle.
